CLAXTON, GA (WTOC) - Students at one Evans County high school took time to honor black history, including some of their own.

Claxton High School hosted their annual Black History Program Wednesday. Students performed songs and read poetry for the occasion. The keynote speaker was Claxton High alum, Dorene Mosley, who talked about growing up in Claxton during integration. Mosely also talked about her college career at the University of Georgia and her career as a chemist for Burt's Bees Cosmetics.
