Metter students create bullying skit | News
METTER, GA (WTOC) - Teens can sometimes feel invincible, but students at Metter High School got a creative reminder Thursday of the issues they face.
Students acted out scenes of bullying, suicides, distracted driving and the dangers of alcohol. The students wrote the scenes to remind classmates of the impact that their actions can have on their own lives and others. The reminder comes on the eve of their high school prom.
"This was not written by adults. It came from them and what has happened to them or someone they know. It happens at school, away from school, at home," said Sara Madden, Metter High School.
A grant from the Family Connections program helped to pay for the skit. They will perform it again next Thursday night for the rest of the community.
